Chief Maintenance Engineer (Multi-Site)

Primary Function
The Facilities Manager is a hands-on role that serves as part of the management team supporting the Operations Department by planning, directing, or coordinating operations and functionalities of multiple commercial and hotel properties. Duties and responsibilities include managing maintenance and repair operations, overseeing renovation projects, and planning necessary services.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the implementation and management of best practices.
- Respond to maintenance requests, completing minor repairs, assigning duties, and coordinating with specialty vendors as needed.
- Responsible for planned construction/remodeling schedule creation and overseeing adherence and timely completion of work performed.
- Coordinate with vendors for annual inspections.
- Conduct regular inspections to include review of plumbing, lighting, fire alarms, doors, fire extinguishers, mechanical, and HVAC, etc.
- Monitor suppliers to ensure that they efficiently and effectively provide needed goods or services within budgetary limits.
- Responsible for successful and effective vendor relationship management.
- Manage the coordination of services to ensure efficiency, effectiveness, or sustainability of operations.
- Manage the team on technical best practice and establish standard procedures as well as mentoring and leading and training the department.
- Provide daily supervision for team.
- Additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent is required.
- Maintenance/general construction experience required.
- 2-3 years previous multi-site facilities experience preferred.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills such as communication, leadership, and supervision.
- Detail-oriented and excellent organizational skills: accuracy is essential.
- Must be well organized and able to multitask efficiently.
- Must have the ability to communicate effectively in English.
- Must be able to lift items weighing 50 pounds and carry items weighing 50 pounds 20 feet without mechanical assistance.
- Must have the ability to stand or walk for 70%-90% of the workday in varied environments.
- Must be able to travel during the week up to 50-75%.
