St. Monica after School Program is seeking an enthusiastic, fun, playful, motivated Child Care Teacher Aide Trainee to provide support to the daily operations of the program and children.

Responsibilities:

The child care teacher aide will provide a safe, nurturing, welcoming environment for young children and assist the Site Supervisor and Teacher in planning and supervision of appropriate activities with the children.

• Attend to physical needs of children;
• Serves snacks and drinks;
• Plays indoor and/or outdoor games with children;
• Reads to children;
• Supervises behavior of children during activities and during homework;
• Maintains cleanliness and safety of all work/ play areas;.
• Maintain constant supervision of children in work and play areas;
• Helps preserve the condition of all supplies, equipment and materials;
• Communicate and relate to staff and children in professional manner;
• Maintains effective communications with parents and guardians.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED
• No ECE unites required
• Must have previous experience working with children
• Must be 18 years or older
• Must pass fingerprints with DOJ & FBI
• Passionate about working with children and making a difference
• Ability to be active and motivated
• Ability to effectively communication with children and parents
• Current infant, child and adult CPR certificate

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $16.04 per hour
