Job Opening Summary
Assists in implementing child life services by planning, organizing and facilitating playroom and bedside activities for pediatric patients and their families. Maintains a safe and organized environment, orients and supervises volunteers and assists with special events, in-kind donations and community visitors.
Job Opening Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
- High school diploma and core college coursework in child development, early childhood/elementary education or a related field; associate's degree preferred.
- One year (full-time equivalent) of childcare or teaching experience with children in a group setting.
- Paid or volunteer experience with children in a health care setting preferred.
- Child development knowledge and skills (infants through adolescents), group supervision skills, play and recreational activity planning and facilitation skills, and oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently.
Shift hours: 9 a.m. - 5:30 p.m., Variable
