KVC Kansas is seeking a Child Placing Agency Supervisor who will provide guidance to staff who are assisting in the licensing and support of foster families.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
- Continues to build a child welfare system that is safe, secure, and stable; family centered, connected to the community; and which relies on evidence based practice necessary to support contract services.
- Meets with KVC Family Services staff a minimum of one hour bi-weekly to provide supervision.
- Available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to KVC Family Services staff, clients and foster families, as per crisis call schedule.
- Responsible for assuring subordinates meet performance expectations including timelines, regulations and laws.
- Supports staff to meet their needs, as evidence by supervisory evaluations completed by subordinates.
- Assigns new referrals to KVC Family Services staff, based on staff strengths and skills, within program/contract guidelines.
- Provides direct services per program, state, and contract guidelines.
- Ensure that services are in compliance with all regulatory standards and contract terms and conditions.
- Completes all required paperwork and follows agency policies and procedures within timelines, to assure smooth paperwork flow.
- Attends and participates in all scheduled meetings, consultation, and staff meetings, as required.
- Acquires and develops resources to meet identified needs of clients and staff.
- Provides culturally relevant and sensitive services to clients and assures that staff does the same.
- Provides positive field instruction and supervision of Social Work interns as requested.
- Provides back up support to contract services as requested.
- Observes children for signs of abuse and/or neglect.
- Participates as an organizational trainer, as assigned.
- Maintain working relationships and communications with KDHE, DCF, and other community partners.
- Understand contract requirements and work to improve contract specific outcomes.
- Participate in the recruitment, on-going training and provision of support groups of family foster homes.
- Attend required trainings.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s in social work, addictions counseling OR a master’s degree in social work, mental health/rehabilitation counseling, counseling psychology, marriage and family therapy, psychology.
- At least three years of work experience with children, youth and families
- Ability to obtain a temporary or full licensure with the Kansas Behavioral Science Regulatory Board (ksbsrb.ks.org) within the first 90 days of employment if hired.
