Position: Part-time
Location: Mt. Pleasant, Michigan
Wage: $30 - $35.00/hour

Listening Ear is looking for a part-time contractual therapist who wants to make a difference in the lives of sexually abused children and their families.

Responsibilities:

• Provide high quality, compassionate, and ethical direct to consumer mental health therapy to clients
• Complete clinical documentation
• Complete and maintain all required continuing education requirements for specific licensure and specializations
• Stay current with updated research and best practices
• Be aware of community referral sources and refer when necessary (service area includes Clare and Isabella Counties)
• Maintain contact with consulting third parties and collateral contacts when appropriate

Skills Needed for Success:

• A working knowledge of Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
• Experienced in working with youth and families
• Skilled in working with people from a variety of cultures and backgrounds
• Aware of personal strengths and limitations

Requirements:

• LLMSW, LMSW, LLPC, or LPC – Must be licensed in the State of Michigan
• Pass background check and protective services check per sate guidelines
• Michigan Driver’s License and acceptable driving record
• Must pass all necessary training, tests, and exams required by the State, any government agency, or the employer, including criminal background check
