LSSI is seeking afull-timeChild Welfare Assistant, Monday through Friday.To transport children and supervise visits between parents and clients and document what goes in in visits.

Essential Functions:

  • Complete and submit documentation of visits accurately and on time as required by the agency.
  • Supervise visits of children with their families.
  • Assist in training of parenting and homemaker skills.
  • Transport clients as needed.
  • Must be able to work days, late evenings, Saturdays and Sundays.

Position Qualifications:

  • High School degree or equivalent.
  • Must be 21 years or older.
  • Basic knowledge of child development and parenting or equivalent life experience as preferred.
  • Valid State of Illinois driver's license and proof of automobile liability insurance required.
  • Access to transportation to make visits and transport clients.
