ABOUT THIS ROLE
The ChurchKids Director creates, leads, and drives forward vision and strategy for kids at Churchome making it possible for us to tell the story of Jesus to the world. As a pastoral leader and strategic thinker, the ChurchKids Director will develop a multi-generational approach to pastoral ministries that is effective, relevant, and well-organized.

The ChurchKids Director must be a forward-focused, team player with a faith-filled attitude. The role reports to the Chief Ministry Officer (CMO).

The ChurchKids Director will direct the organization toward its primary objectives for kids and parents based on the goal to be the best at telling the story of Jesus to the world, by performing the following responsibilities personally or through direct reports and their teams.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead and direct the team of ChurchKids staff to ensure holistic approach to gatherings, spiritual growth, and host care for ChurchKids.
  • Work cross functionally with teams to ensure holistic support and experience for kids and parents.
  • Ensure the CK@home location experience and other ChurchKids community opportunities are standardized across all regions.
  • Using data and analytics, alongside cross-functional collaboration, determine ways to further ChurchKids on their spiritual journey and implement into a holistic system and structure for individual growth.
  • Lead the way with forward focused effort and strategy to recruit new hosts in regions, cities, neighborhoods, and places that are unreached.
  • Manage implementation of a comprehensive and well-curated set of processes, resources, training and tools for hosts to develop as leaders.
  • Lead and develop kids and parent team members to empower volunteers.
  • Oversee the ChurchKids budget.
  • Utilize data and analytics to inform decision making about approach and process for the development and retention of hosts and volunteers.
  • Oversee annual camp experience for kids.
  • Churchome may also assign other duties or responsibilities, in its sole discretion.

EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience
  • Formal pastoral licensing or training preferred
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills
  • Effective communication, both verbally and written.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
  • Supervisory experience is helpful.
  • Confidentiality and Discretion; with higher levels of responsibility and authority comes a greater demand for discretion and wisdom.
  • Strong relationally and the ability to influence and be involved with training and equipping leaders.
