The CIP Analyst I is responsible for verifying that customer information files are complete and have been recorded correctly in accordance to the US Patriot Act and Bank policy guidelines. This includes tracking any identified exceptions and assisting branch personnel with exception resolution and questions regarding the Bank’s Customer Identification Program (CIP).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Reviews assigned reports and documentation such as signature cards to verify that customer information files are complete and have been recorded correctly; modifies and uploads reviewed reports.
  • Creates exceptions in an electronic tracking system to log any issues identified.
  • Reviews documentation and information submitted for exception resolution and updates exception status on corrected accounts as appropriate.
  • Provides service and support to branch personnel on exception resolution and questions regarding CIP policies.
  • Performs other job-related duties or special projects as assigned.

Competencies Required:
  • Working knowledge of, or ability to quickly gain an understanding of, banking policies, procedures, laws, and regulations as they relate to the Customer Information Program (CIP) and the US Patriot Act.
  • Solid technology skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, SharePoint portal), and the ability to navigate banking software applications (Mozart, Bancline) and related websites.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multi-task, maintain accuracy, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism while interacting with internal and external parties.
  • Self-starter possessing the ability to work independently while supporting a team environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and high concern for data accuracy.
  • Customer service orientation with developed problem resolution skills.
  • Ability to follow directions, apply proper policies, procedures, and guidelines, and make objective decisions based on analysis of data within restricted time frames.


Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications/Experience:
  • 1-2 years applicable banking or financial services industry experience required.
  • 1 year retail or personal banker experience required.
  • Risk management, BSA, or compliance experience preferred.

Formal Education & Certification:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Banking, Finance, or related field preferred.

Work Status:
  • Full-Time.

Supervisory Responsibility:
  • None.

Travel:
  • 0% - Negligible amount of travel expected.

Working Conditions:
  • Conditions involve lifting no more than ten pounds, sitting most of the time, but may involve walking, moving, or standing for brief periods, and occasionally lifting and carrying articles like files, ledgers, folders, etc.
