This position is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and highly skilled professional who wishes to play an important role in the success of Muller’s numerous transportation projects throughout the Rocky Mountain Region.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide drafting, design and plan production services during concept, design and construction phases on a variety of civil engineering projects including highways, intersections, multi-modal facilities, and drainage/flood control facilities
  • Prepare and manage construction plan set drawings using InRoads/OpenRoads Designer and/or AutoCAD C3D working from plan mark-ups and sketches
  • Work in a team environment with other CAD staff and engineers
  • Ensure project deliverable packages adhere to company and client standards with attention to quality, budget, and schedule constraints
  • Review and correct own work for Quality Control purposes
  • Mentor and train other staff in software
  • Other duties as assigned

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education and/or Experience Requirements:

  • Certificate or Associates Degree in Drafting/CADD Technology, or equivalent demonstrated experience in civil engineering or related field
  • 7+ years of demonstrated experience in civil engineering or related field
  • Strong technical knowledge of OpenRoads Designer (ORD) or AutoCAD Civil 3D with ability and desire to learn both platforms
  • Experience with CDOT or other state DOT plan preparation procedures and standards is a plus
  • Strong technical knowledge of Microsoft Office products
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented professional with strong organizational and communication skills
  • A desire to grow personally and professionally with each project while working in a team environment to create designs and drawings supporting our client’s overall project goals

Required License or Certification:

  • Noneishes to play an important role in the success of Muller’s numerous transportation projects throughout the Rocky Mountain Region.

  • Prepare and manage construction drawings working from plan mark-ups and sketches using AutoCAD Civil 3D and other software as required
  • Proficient with utilizing Civil 3D design features including alignments, profiles, grading and surfaces, pipe networks and corridors
  • Assist with development and maintenance of Civil 3D templates, styles and standards for CAD department
  • Implement and perform select needed tasks without immediate direction of engineer
  • Take ownership of a project from start to finish, ensuring Quality Control and standardization of product
  • Review and correct own work for Quality Control purposes
  • Mentor and train other staff in software
  • Ensure project deliverable packages adhere to company and client standards with attention to quality, budget, and schedule constraints
  • Coordinate and work with Project Team, including other CAD technicians, engineers, and support staff as well as subconsultants
  • Other duties as assigned

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $34.00 - $42.00 per hour
