Northeast Engineering Manager – Career Opportunity in La Grande, OR:


Office is based in beautiful downtown La Grande, OR, with an established client base and healthy backlog of work. This management role will be responsible for all functions of running an office including supervision and oversight, coordinating office needs, budgeting, forecasting, recruiting and retention, client management, and marketing/business development.

Qualifications for this role include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
  • Licensed in Oregon as PE (Professional Engineer)
  • 10 or more years of experience as a Project Manager focused in utility/municipal engineering work
  • Valid driver’s license and good driving record
  • Strong interpersonal relations on all levels
  • Experience with design and modeling is preferred

Responsibilities will include:

  • Management of office and staff
  • Supervise, coach and mentor team members
  • Manage relationships and coordinate with clients
  • Project Management for various public agency projects
  • Contribute to marketing for acquiring new work and contracts
  • Coordination and management of subconsultants
  • Attend public meetings, forums, and open houses to present project details and gather public input
