Aster Brands, the organization that brings you Redi-Rock International, Rosetta Hardscapes, and Pole Base, is looking for a proactive and self-motivated Civil / Geotechnical Engineer to help us continue being leaders in the retaining wall and hardscaping industry.

As the Civil /Geotechnical Engineer, you will support engineers and contractors around the world who are using Aster Brands products. They have questions, and you are the expert that can provide answers. You’ll also help expand and improve our engineering design and construction resources by developing support materials like design manuals, installation guides, wall analysis software tutorials, and much more.

This is a full-time, year-round job with great benefits, including excellent health insurance, paid time off, paid holidays, matching 401(k), and much more. Job responsibilities include:

• Develop engineering design and construction resources such as:
• Technical manuals
• Design guides
• Construction details
• Product specifications
• Project case studies

• Technical and project support for multiple products
• Train engineers to use our software for retaining wall analysis and layout.
• Collaboration on product testing projects including:
• Collaborating and developing project testing scopes
• Collaborating with the team to execute tests
• Data analysis and creation of testing reports
• Marketing and sales support

• Light travel to conferences, trade shows, and customer meetings.

Must be proficient in:

• Understanding the geotechnical engineering principles of soil/rock mechanics, shallow foundations, and slope stability.
• Basic principles of retaining wall analysis, design, and construction
• Using analysis software for the analysis of retaining structures (i.e. SRWall, MSEW, or similar)
• Understanding of the construction industry and the general roles and responsibilities of the engineers, contractors, and material suppliers.
• Strong AutoCAD skills
• Technical data analysis, interpretation, and creation of summary reports
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
• Proactive problem-solving and attention to detail
• Customer support

Required Education/Experience

• 4-year degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on Geotechnical, Structural, or General
• Civil. (Master's degree strongly preferred)
• 2-10 years of work experience in a related field (recent graduates considered for the right
• candidate)
• Registered Engineer Intern/Engineer in Training, EI/EIT (Professional Engineer, PE
• strongly preferred)
