SUMMARY

The Claims Coordinator oversees activities that are related to handling and processing of customer liability claims for the Company. They act as liaison between the organization, insurance providers, and customers. The coordinator reviews, evaluates, and processes insurance claims and makes recommendations for resolution. Communicates with the Liability Claims Manager, claimants, and insurance providers to document and review resolution options according to organizations practices and procedures.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Process incoming claim assignments.
  • Make initial contact with customers initiating claims to set expectations, gain additional loss information, and assist with questions.
  • Maintain thorough records for all relevant claim file activity.
  • Effectively communicate relevant claim file activity with appropriate parties.
  • Assist technical team in collecting required information from customers initiating claims and vendors as needed.
  • Respond promptly to customer inquiries and claims related complaints.
  • Effectively resolve customer complaints or escalate to management as appropriate.
  • Perform related duties and responsibilities as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associates degree, or equivalent work experience
  • 1-3 years’ experience in in case management, insurance, risk management and other human resource related administrator tasks.
  • Working knowledge of relevant computer applications
  • Knowledge of administrative procedures
  • Proficient typist
  • Intermediate MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) required
  • Ability to maintain a calm demeanor, especially in sensitive situations
  • Excellent verbal and written skills
  • Team player with a record of accomplishment of successful collaboration with business managers

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.75 - $25.50 per hour
