Summary
A-Line E.D.S. is looking for Class A Drivers for Regional Midwest runs. Pick-ups in Chicago, Missouri, and Minneapolis. The driver has to have some flexibility in hours. Loads are either drop and hook or loaded for you as you wait. Drivers are required to safely and legally transport property from our customer sites to our processing facility. The safe and legal transport of their cargo is critical to the success of the company and the cost of business. By driving safely and in accordance with DOT and FMCSA regulations our drivers help us maintain low insurance rates, high DOT ratings, and prompt delivery and pickup of goods sold and purchased to and from our customers.
Job Responsibilities
- Safely operate any A-Line E.D.S. Commercial Motor Vehicle
- Comprehend and operate according to DOT regulations
- Follow all safety rules and regulations in accordance with A-Line E.D.S., as well as any customer’s safety requirements
- Accurately inspect vehicles according to DOT regulations
- Understand and obey various state CMV laws
- Other duties as assigned
Job Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent preferred
- 1 year of tractor-trailer driving experience a must
- Class A CDL required
- Semi-tractor and trailer maintenance a plus
- Ability to travel overnight
- Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly
- Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations
- Familiarity with a straight truck and roll-off trucks a plus
- Ability to work well as part of a team
- Must have a current DOT physical card or be able to obtain DOT physical card
- Hazmat and Tanker Endorsements are a plus
