Kumon Math and Reading Center of Issaquah-Gilman is seeking for responsible, reliable, and capable individuals who have a passion and love to work with students all ages, grade the papers, and help them learn and grow. Qualified candidates must enjoy working with children.

Kumon of Issaquah-Gilman opens year-round. This is a part- time position for individuals who are interested in working long-term and can work one or more of the shifts and can work on site on Monday and Thursdays. Shift times are flexible for high school and college students and start after school. This position is also great opportunity for school substitute teachers who are seeking for second job. School transcript will be needed for high school and college students.

Primary responsibilities include:

Early Learner/Primary Instruction:

• Working efficiently and effectively with one or two younger or new Kumon students at a time to provide instruction through utilization of the Kumon Method and worksheets
• Ensure proper study habits and work skills are being developed and train the students in center routine

Grading/classroom assistant:

• Grading of student classwork, homework, and corrections and organizing of student worksheets
• Provide assistance/guidance to students, as needed, adhering to Kumon Method standards and center procedures

General Responsibilities:

• Preparing student folders
• Developing own knowledge of Kumon method and worksheets

Qualifications:

• Proficient math and reading skills are the plus
• Proficient in basic computer usage
• Works well with children
• Responsible, reliable, motivated, diligent, patient
• Responsible, reliable, motivated, diligent
