GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES:
Responsible for intake, clerical and billing functions and providing assistance on various program grant activities in the Health Services Division.
- Answers and screens incoming calls for programs; determines eligibility; processes insurances and applications; and interacts with clients on daily basis.
- Verifies the accuracy of financial documents including provider invoices, client vouchers.

Completes clinical billing, collection and record keeping activities electronically; prepares computerized financial reports, and prepares financial documents and records including insurance claims, various forms, letters, and status reports.

Schedules appointments and sends client correspondence.

Maintains health department files; opens, closes, and retrieves files as assigned.

Types correspondence, records, forms, files, legal documents, reports, and other material from diversified sources.

Creates, formats and reviews for completeness and accuracy documents, letters, program reports, disease data, minutes and other assignments.

Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.
A high school diploma or equivalent and 2 years of related experience are required.
Must complete any and all prescribed certifications and/or courses relevant to position.
A valid driver’s license is also required.
