The Client Account Manager (CAM) will serve as the manager for Tier 1 assigned clients and act as a liaison between internal and external clients to ensure that the client receives quality client service in a timely manner. This position is responsible for company relations with the client and ensuring the client has a good and positive service experience with all teams. This role will be equal parts service and face of the company to the client as well as task delivery for clients and carriers. This position will implement new client procedures and insure accurate processing of freight bills for assigned clients. This position will also help grow the business by offering excellent service. This position will manage any TI inboxes assigned for clients as needed.

This position may have direct or indirect oversight of direct reports. As manager of assigned staff, this role will direct the day to day activities of the assigned staff.

The CAM will also work with client carriers and adhere to response times as discussed below. The position requires solid, general knowledge of all TI functions to meet client and carrier needs.

Metrics:

  • Maintain a maximum of 4-hour response time to clients, 24-48 hours to carriers.
  • Monthly client meetings on general state of affairs.
  • Timely reporting of client statistics (by 1 week following close of month for both monthly & quarterly).
  • Timely completion of client annual pricing reviews in conjunction with Sales Manager.
  • Department defects per unit (DPU) at or below 3 per 1,000.
  • Daily logging of calls, emails and projects
  • Zero client complaints about CAM employee performance

Previous Work Experience:
Normally 12 to 18 months of previous work experience is required to meet job standards.

Education or Experience:
This position must possess a High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED); or two to three years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Computer Proficiency:
Advanced proficiency on e-mail, spreadsheet and word processing software required; must be able to view, read, and send e-mail; create, edit and print spreadsheets; and create, edit, and print documents
