Client Representative - Group Markets

General Summary
The Client Representative is a client-facing role that is responsible for servicing and maintaining cooperative relationships with employer groups, plan administrators and brokers for Atlantic American’s Group Market division. This role will serve as a triage unit for all work coming into the Group Markets-Account Management department for simple and complex inquiries, as well as escalated service situations.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide service and administrative support to Group Market accounts and build strong relationships with both clients and brokers/consultants
- Coordinate with New Business and Marketing departments on New Account Implementation fulfilling requests; maintaining correct information in proprietary billing and remittance system
- Understand client business, issues, and needs through “virtual” client meetings and proactive phone contact; builds, maintains, and manages positive ongoing client relationship
- Answer inbound calls and e-mails from clients and brokers and handle inquiries, such as form requests, claims status, contact changes, billing questions and providing timely responses to the client or broker.
- Interact professionally with clear, effective communication and set the appropriate expectations on timeline of deliverables. Conduct timely follow-ups as needed to keep client / broker informed of status
- Resolves customer service inquiries that require research and interactions with plan administrators and brokers.Coordinate with internal business partners to ensure client needs are met and potential problems are averted

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent previously related work experience;
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in customer service
- Group Insurance and/or Voluntary Benefits Insurance experience required
- Strong verbal / written communication and organizational skills to effectively communicate and interact with all levels and functions within the organization
- Excellent planning and organizational skills and above average trouble-shooting ability
- Superior customer service skills
