Who we are looking for…

A dedicated, compassionate, devoted individual who enjoys working with a full spectrum of clients ages 5 and up, to solve all types of problems, from serious mental illness to adjustment difficulties. Someone to become a part of our team of compassionate, highly competent professionals as a Clinical Supervisor.

Clinical Supervisors provide direct supervision and oversee that the clinical practices and therapist caseloads are maintained. Ensuring the coordination of services for the individuals that we serve, Clinical Supervisors monitor treatment plans, progress notes, group notes and facilitate staff and treatment team meetings with the goal of improving the care provided.

Additionally, Clinical Supervisors monitor adherence with licensing regulations and standards by performing assessments, chart reviews and support in the use of the electronic health record, Credible.

Requirements:

Qualifications…

  • LCSW required
  • Strong foundational knowledge of systems, clinical best practice standards, levels of care, and a profound ability to collaborate and demonstrate creativity in treatment interventions for complex cases.
  • Must demonstrate expertise in a wide range of clinical interventions with varied populations and must demonstrate capability in the integration of clinical work with the requirements of the New York State Office of Mental Health.
  • Have knowledge of health and human services from a systems perspective and demonstrate the ability to work effectively with other professionals internally and externally.
  • Possess extensive knowledge of ethics, confidentiality and child welfare.
  • Demonstrate competency in a range of creative and client centered clinical interventions and ensure that clinical supervision is a thought provoking process for the employees.
  • Have an understanding and core belief system in line with Trauma Informed Care Principles, and utilize them in responding to employees and clients.
  • Ability to successfully pass OCFS background screening, criminal history verification and the Medicaid Exclusion Screening

What are the job duties…

  • Assuring that a high standard of service is provided to clients in compliance with the regulations of the New York State Office of Mental Health and a within a Trauma Informed Care and Leadership framework
  • Assist with UR’s/audits, assist with on boarding and carry a small caseload. This particular supervisor should be flexible with assisting coverage in supervising unassigned therapists and facilitate group supervisions as needed
  • Assist in the development, implementation, and regular oversight of Corporate Compliance Policies and Procedures, relevant to the provision of clinical services, as prescribed by our regulating body
  • Supervises clinical staff in the treatment of mental illness, trauma and addiction
  • Orients, trains, and supervises therapists in assessment, screening, admission, treatment planning, appropriate care coordination with community partners, and discharge planning
  • Maintains and promotes professional growth for staff, including direct supervision and facilitating clinical meetings when indicated
  • Resolve conflicts among therapists and clientele, with the goal of repairing and strengthening the therapeutic relationship wherever possible, while simultaneously respecting a client’s right to provider choice
  • Evaluate staff performance and address performance issues with Assistant Clinical Director and Clinical Director, where indicated
  • Provide quality assurance review of clinical documentation including the development of comprehensive templates
  • Ensure on-going clinical chart review to ensure clinical quality, regulatory compliance and fiscal health.
  • Other duties as assigned
