Job Description
The Director, Clinical Feeding Services provides the clinical knowledge, leadership, feedback, insights and instructions to promote the success of the clinical feeding program. The Director works closely with the territory Clinical Director for the consistent and effective provision of services in alignment with funding source requirements.
Under your supervision, you ensure that:
Your assigned client families experience a consistent high quality clinical practice, impactful client progress and customer satisfaction with Intercare services. Your provision of direct services to clients will include FBAs, direct oversight of assigned client cases, consultation on or coverage of certain cases assigned to other Clinical Supervisors (BCBA), as well as direct support of clients with feeding disorders
Your assigned clinical team experiences high quality professional development and success in their roles, as appropriate for their level of experience and stage in professional development.
This position may require driving 30 to 60 miles a day when conducting quality control, supervision and consultation in the field (note: mileage is reimbursed, not including drive time and distance to and from home), as well as travel to new markets in development to ensure successful launch, staffing and ongoing operations.

Primary Responsibilities:

    • Develop and coordinate clinical orientation, continued competency and clinical work standard for feeding program
    • Provide onsite and remote supervision of clinical feeding services program
    • Drive continuous performance and quality improvement, education and industry research
    • Provide direct client care to feeding clients
    • Supervise team to render as close to 100% of their assigned, billable client hours as possible
    • Help lead, supervise, and motivate the field team to optimize client progress in compliance with high standards of clinical practice, customer service, and funding source terms.
    • Support client families with excellent clinical practice and customer service throughout their progression of service, from assessment to launch of services, to exit
    • Produce programs, updates, reports and other paperwork with accuracy, timeliness and clinical integrity and compliance with funding source contracts
    • Provide advanced technical and behavior analytic written and verbal analysis in reports and consultation with medical professionals
    • Engage and elevate parent participation and commitment by building rapport, educating them to understand and value the outcomes of consistent ABA services, and providing effective caregiver training for them to replicate and maintain successful outcomes independently
    • Demonstrate and model leadership and commitment by being reliable, punctual and engaged when leading, attending or observing client sessions and team meetings
    • Contribute ideas and solutions that enhance the organization’s people, processes and culture
    • Serve as a reliable and gracious team player in covering absent colleagues, as needed
    • Respect Intercare’s history, mission, brand and culture as well as policies, procedures, timelines and budgets

Job Skills:

    • Strong ABA and clinical skills
    • Strong knowledge and understanding of ARFID and other comorbid diagnoses
    • Prior experience working in multidisciplinary model (MD, SLP/OT, nutritionist/dietician)
    • Knowledge and experience working with individual with G-tubes and NG-tubes and the like
    • Self-disciplined: Able to schedule and attend client appointments and clinical team meetings with consistency, reliability and punctuality
    • Excellent written and spoken communication: Clear language, accurate grammar and spelling
    • Excellent time management skills: Understands how to allocate working day between billable hours and non-billable hours, onsite (direct) and in-office (indirect) supervision hours
    • Excellent interpersonal skills: Builds rapport with clients and with colleagues, and cultivates rapport between clinical team and client family
    • Excellent team player attitude and customer service orientation: Aligned with organizational practices, and working in service to client families and colleagues, regardless of their position
    • Demonstrates strong knowledge of experimental designs, advanced excel data analysis and graphing skills, and analytical case conceptualization via scientific research
    • Experience working with individuals who engage in severe maladaptive behaviors (e.g., biting, spitting, emesis)
    • Thorough knowledge of BCBA ethical guidelines and clear understanding/boundaries in making clinical and ethical decisions
    • Ability to give and receive constructive feedback
    • Bilingual skills valued, Spanish preferred

Required Credentials:

    • PhD preferred; Master’s degree required
    • Certification: BCBA certified or Speech Language Pathology or Occupational Therapy
    • A minimum of 5 or more years of experience providing pediatric feeding services with individuals diagnosed with ARFID
