CLINICAL INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIST

Human Services degree primary with IT experience/knowledge secondary

This is a position in a Community Mental Health Facility. Those without related clinical experience need not apply.

Pay negotiable and based upon degree and experience.

Summary of Responsibilities:

This is an information technology position assigned to the Administration section of the organization. A key component of this position is continually addressing clinical needs as it relates to the electronic medical record. This position is responsible for assisting in documenting, investigating, and resolving software and hardware problems on all organizational computer systems. A main function of this role is to integrate the clinical aspects of service delivery into the software system. This position is responsible for designing and implementing reports and reporting tools for all levels of the organization as well as menu design in the electronic medical record system. This position must communicate effectively with systems users and be available for user support.

Examples of Job Requirements:

  • Respond promptly and courteously to calls from users requesting assistance or reporting problems related to hardware or software.
  • Investigate and diagnose system problems and resolve the problem identified or seek outside assistance, if necessary.
  • Assist in ongoing system development and implementation.
  • Assist in planning for training if needed.
  • Designing reports to retrieve needed information for management.
  • Work closely with the Clinical Director in all clinical aspects of the electronic record.

Supervisor: IT Director

Required Qualifications:

Minimally a Bachelor degree in a mental health field plus a minimum of two years of experience in a mental health setting. A minimum of one year of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience in the computer science or related field is preferred. Preferred knowledge and experience with: Windows 10/11, Crystal Reports, Avatar / Electronic Medical Record Systems, Databases, running reports, and designing reports

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $36,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
