RNnetwork is looking for a Clinical Nurse Liaison to join our Clinical team. The Clinical team has oversight of clinical competency assessment related activities throughout the travel staff initial application process and on an ongoing basis. As a Clinical Nurse Liaison on the Clinical team, you will provide clinical support to travelers prior to, throughout, and after their assignments. This role will report to Senior Director, RNN Quality Assurance.

Your role::
  • Review and investigate clinical issues that occur while our healthcare professionals are on assignment
  • Refer appropriate complex clinical issues to manager for review, discussion and resolution
  • Review and discuss competency assessment/risk management issues with manager and determine appropriate action steps needed (e.g., CEUs, counsel, restrictions, termination)
  • Act as liaison between recruiting/sales managers and the clients to assess potential drops, if appropriate
  • Assist in maintaining compliance of division’s candidate qualifying process and credentialing standards
  • Participate in the incident/malpractice claims reporting process with CHG Risk Management
  • Responsible for monitoring competency testing including specialty specific tests, orientation tests, and hospital required tests
  • Contribute to ongoing process improvements that promote the division’s delivery of healthcare services
  • Participate in monthly quality review meetings with division’s senior management
  • Responsible for maintaining state licenses, as division requires to conduct business
  • Responsible for maintaining current knowledge of required industry standards: Joint Commission, federal, and state
  • Assist with the preparation of Joint Commission and client facility surveys/audits
  • Assist in developing and maintaining performance improvement initiatives required for Joint Commission certification
  • Assist in completing and delivering annual performance reviews for travelers
