We are looking for an energetic and friendly person to join our work family full time at Fairfax Pediatric Associates as a clinical operations manager. We love what we do and stay very busy doing it! An ideal candidate loves kids, has experience in a medical setting, and has the skills and to support and lead an awesome team of clinical staff. The position is Monday through Friday eight hour shifts onsite. We offer great benefits including health, dental, vision, life insurance and 401k.

Requirements:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supervises the daily operation of the office, including monitoring work status and progress
  • Setting and managing work schedules for clinical staff including including request for time off and attendance. Re-allocates staff resources as appropriate based on daily physician schedules, time-off, and capacity
  • Fosters teamwork between staff and providers and works closely with management team to ensure smooth operations through patient care and staff competencies
  • Assists in recruiting and hiring new employees as well as training and development of staff
  • Addressing clinical needs including setting expectations and implementing new policies and procedures for clinical initiatives
  • Functions as the liaison between physicians, front desk, nurses and other areas for the office
  • Works with ancillary services to ensure seamless care to our patients
  • Responsible for managing vaccine and supply inventory, making purchases as necessary and submitting invoices for payment.
  • Maintains the operations of the offices including clinical equipment including routine and emergency maintenance through landlord and outside vendors
  • Ensures the office is in compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Other duties as determined by business needs

EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS, AND CREDENTIALS:

  • Bachelor's degree in nursing, business, administration, related field OR 5-10 years of related work experience in a healthcare setting
  • Experience in a pediatric healthcare preferred but not required
  • Minimum two years previous supervisory experience
  • Possession of a current Commonwealth of Virginia Nursing RN license (or multi-state privilege) or Licensed Pratical Nurse license preferred but not required

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES:

  • Proficient in appropriate use of medical equipment and instruments necessary to administer patient care
  • Proficient in maintaining a safe working environment and in applying and modifying the principles, methods, and techniques of professional nursing to provide ongoing patient care within quality control standards
  • Able to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations
  • Possess excellent written and oral communication skills, including strong organizational, detail oriented and interpersonal skills.
