Position Summary

In this newly created position, the Clinical Scientist will be a key contributor to mapping clinical care pathways and identifying unmet needs where intraoperative ultrasound could be the solution. The Clinical Scientist will provide clinical input during product development and participate in concept development. They will define, plan and execute pre-clinical studies and clinical studies., as well as support verification and validation activities.

Essential Job Duties

• Prepare internal and external scientific presentations, research manuscripts and review articles, as required
• Provide sound scientific and technical advice during early product development phase
• Map clinical care pathways for patients in our core surgical markets
• Identify future trends in standard of care. Identify opportunities for surgical ultrasound
• Define, plan and execute pre-clinical studies
• Maintain relationships with key research institutions and hospitals
• Provide input on clinical needs in technology development projects

Qualifications Required

• PhD or MSc in relevant field
• 3-5 years’ experience with medical device research and development
• Experience with clinical studies
• Experience with surgical imaging
• Able to develop relationships with key stakeholders both internally and externally
• Self-motivated
• Collaborative attitude and team player
