Overview

The Clinical Supervisor for Crisis Resolution Center (CRC) and Outreach oversees the delivery of clinical services for clients with mental health disorders and co-occurring disorders, helping to ensure the smooth running of the mobile crisis unit and of CRC. This position works closely with management and clinical staff to provide clinical support, direction and guidance to team members. Works effectively and collaboratively within the agency and community partners.

Supervision Exercised: The Clinical Supervisor will work closely with the Program Manager and clinical staff to provide clinical support, direction and guidance to team members. Provides oversight, direction, education, coordination and coaching regarding the use of the indicated milieu treatment model to program staff on a real time basis.

Responsibilities

Performs crisis evaluation and triage, diagnostic assessments, and treatment to individuals with mental health and substance abuse disorders. Develops individual service plans in conjunction with the client and members of the treatment team. This position needs strong organizational skills to manage the daily flow of the mobile crisis team.

Works collaboratively with the CRC Manager to oversee Pre-Commitment Investigator (PCI) processes for custody, eligibility for diversion and continuing to commitment if appropriate. Ensures 48-hour and 7-day follow-up process are completed on time.

Coordinates Crisis Outreach to engage potential clients in Mental Health Services.

Performs diagnostic assessments and formulates diagnoses.

May perform individual service plans in collaboration with the client and members of the treatment team.

Assesses symptoms, manages immediate crisis, assesses client risk, participates in stabilization of clients, and works with the client and family to formulate a safety plan.

Facilitates discharge planning to acute/sub-acute care placements and/or to home. Coordinates follow up appointments and initiates care coordination.

Reviews documentation for clinical appropriateness and provides feedback and education on utilization and documentation of evidenced based modalities.

Qualifications

Candidate must possess a Master's degree in a behavioral science, an understanding of co-occurring disorders, trauma and related experience. Two years’ post-master's experience required to meet qualifications under Medicaid for Clinical Supervisor.

Leadership experience and understanding of outpatient processes and work flows a plus.

Must be a QMHP on the Mental Health & Addictions Certification Board of Oregon (MHACBO) registry.

Must be registered as a licensure intern with the State of Oregon or be licensed in Oregon as an LMFT, LCSW, LPC or clinical Psychologist.

Candidates must be able to use e-mail, compose documents, save and locate documents electronically, and learn to use our Electronic Health Record (EHR) system. Proficiency in Word and other MS Office applications preferred.

Must pass state-required background and DMV checks; possess a valid OR driver's license and a satisfactory driving record. Candidate must be able to work independently and flexibly, under general supervision.
