We are searching for a Coordinator of Clinical Support - someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you will provide patient care and excellent customer service. To assist in coordinating flow and provider schedules to manage patient care effectively.

• Demonstrates positive and effective interpersonal skills, communication, and customer service skills. Welcomes and interacts with all patients, families, and visitors in a professional, timely, age appropriate, and culturally sensitive manner. Responds to customer questions with prompt information and/or service related to appointment status, wait time, or unanticipated problems.
• Coordinates daily appointments.
• Prioritizes incoming phone calls regarding patient care and need for urgent appointment. Schedules and confirms same day and work-in appointments and informs the clinic of appointments. Updates all patient information accurately while the appointment is being made and reminds patient/family of insurance responsibilities.
• Collaborates with clinic staff to ensure efficient patient flow.
• Prioritizes patients to be roomed based on appointment and arrival times and other clinic procedure. Notifies provider of the arrival of the first clinic session patient once patient is roomed. Participates in Care Coordination. In a professional manner, receives and prioritizes incoming calls, handling inquiries, relaying messages, setting up appointments, communicating needs and responding to emergency situations as evidenced by on-going supervisory
• Schedules tests as directed by provider.
• Provides high quality, cost-effective patient care in collaboration with clinicians and in
• conjunction with the patient/family.
• Assists in the collection and documentation of patient/family data which included biophysical and psychosocial information according to clinic scope. Reports abnormal data or provider. Accurately documents telephone or refill messages in the medical record and notifies licensed provider.
• Assist Clinic Leadership and performs other duties as assigned.
• Collaborates with co-workers to facilitate completion of workload and willingly accepts re-assignments to other areas/tasks. Assists with clerical and receptionist duties.

• Being fully vaccinated against COVID-19, including any booster dose(s) of the COVID-19 vaccine recommended by the Centers for Disease Control when eligible, is required for all employees at Texas Children’s unless approved for a medical or religious exemption.
• Required H.S. Diploma or equivalent with some college coursework preferred
• Required 2 years experience in a direct patient care role with preferred Pediatric experience
