Location: CAPE FEAR VALLEY MEDICAL CENTER

Position Summary:
Assist in the operational and logistical aspects of clinical trials according to the GCP (Good Clinical Practice) and relevant procedures and assist in the delegated tasks to support the clinical trial team, ensuring that all essential documentation is collected, maintained and filed during the study.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Clinical experience through internship or work-related experience preferred. Knowledge of basic mathematical, data collection and research principles required. Must possess a strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology, and medical terminology. Good organizational and interpersonal skills. Must be able to effectively communicate with physicians and other allied health care professionals. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities. Computer literate. Some knowledge of clinical trial design, execution and operations would be beneficial. Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology, and medical terminology. Ability to learn quickly and be a self-motivator.
Required Education, Licenses, and Certifications:

• Associate's Degree Nursing

A Bachelor's degree in healthcare/science or clinical research related field will be considered.
Preferred Education, Licenses, and Certifications:

• REGISTERED NURSE

Other Information:
Job requires motor coordination in order to operate computer terminal. Work varies from sedentary to very mobile. Speech, sight and hearing required as incumbent must work independently.
