CACI is seeking a cleared Cloud Architect to support the Blue Force Tracking 2 (BFT-2) program at our customer, Project Manager Mission Command (PM MC) at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD. This position will provided hands on oversight in determining how to move into a modular micro -services based architecture that will be deployed in containers and in the cloud.


What You’ll Get to Do:

  • Provide support for systems engineering design reviews, modeling system behavior through functional flows and descriptions, development of interface control documents and interface description documents.
  • Define the infrastructure required for optimal pulling, pushing, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources using SQL, XML and other technologies.
  • Support of complex data sets and the technologies to manage those data sets securely.
  • Perform data analytics and develop queries to reduce data sets to discern patterns/trends for general audience consumption.
  • Work with stakeholders including the Product Managers, Lead Engineers, and Developers teams to assist with data-related technical issues and support their data infrastructure needs.

More About the Role

In this role, you will coordinate the Satellite Ground Station (SGS) Refresh Project (AWS, AZURE, Google Cloud, EC2, RDS) , continue Secure Modular Transceiver (SMT) Maintenance, and facilitate routine BFT-2 Engineering Services contract tasks.

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • Active DOD Secret security clearance.
  • Bachelor’s Degree (Engineering, Computer Sciences or similar) and at least 3 years of experience OR an Associates Degree and at least 7 years of experience OR no degree and at least 9 years of experience.
  • Knowledge of modern SW development practices to include A development methodology, DevSecOps and modular micro services based architecture that could be deployed in containers.
  • Experience working with cloud services like AWS, AZURE, Google Cloud Platform and familiarity with their tools like – Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2), Relational Database Service (RDS) etc.
  • Experience with Kubernetes and its distributions including OpenShift.
  • Experience with microservices architectures and service meshes.
  • Experience with secure software development, system deployment, and Zero Trust principles.
  • Familiarity with programming languages like C++, Python, R or similar.
  • Familiarity with MATLAB and Simulink modeling.
  • Familiarity with modular open systems architecture.

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

  • Experience with US Army Common Operating Environment “COE” initiatives and the PEO C3T and PM MC portfolio helpful.
  • Familiarity with military messaging (MIL-STD-6017x, JREAP C) and commercial standards.

Pay Range: The proposed salary range for this position is $86,200-$176,600. There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, geographic location, education, and certifications.
