The Role
The Technical Customer Value Manager role in Make is much more akin to a traditional Cloud Enterprise Architect in many other SaaS companies. As with other Cloud Architect roles you will work directly with our Customer Success Managers and become the technical authority understanding our customers requirements, strategic & future plans, helping to ensure our customers maximum business value and achieve business goals.
The work you'll do:
- In a post-sales capacity you will assist our customers with design and implementation of Make with creative problem solving.
- Team with the Support Customer Success Managers by owning the technical diagnosis, prescription, and validation phases of the post sales cycle and provide a consultative approach in advising customers.
- Perform business and technical discovery with Customers to quickly understand customer priorities and pain points
- Articulate and educate on business, technical and architectural concepts to a variety of audiences, including business users, developers, architects, IT operations professionals, and senior IT management
- Create, identify and deliver automation opportunities, customer roadmaps, solution visions, strategy to ultimately help demonstrate the corresponding business value
- Collaborate cross functionally and be an advocate for the customers own success
The Qualifications
- University degree or equivalent professional training, ideally in Computer Sciences
- Relevant work experience (3+ years) in the area of customer facing pre-sales and/or post sales engagements in a SaaS/iPaas/Automation application organization
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to convey and relate ideas to others and work collaboratively to get things done.
- Ability to learn new concepts, technologies and solve problems while understanding business strategic goals of our Customers
- Excellent presentation skills:
- Showing the value, capabilities and differentiators of Make
- Composure in front of all levels of technical and business audiences
- Ability to not only perform discovery and lead architectural discussions but also design proofs of concepts using Make to demonstrate the value
- A passion for technology and translating that passion into business impact for customers
- Ability working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment flexible hour throughout the sales territory
- Ability to present the business value of our solutions and enable the customers to leverage them internally and externally.
Technical Landscape
- Backend coding background is a prerequisite
- Solid experience with various databases such as MsSQL, PostgreSQL or Oracle
- Excellent understanding of microservices architectures, web-services, cloud infrastructure and API ecosystem
- Experience with cloud providers like AWS, Azure, GCP or similar
- Experience with IaC (ideally Terraform)
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes, and in particular application packaging, deployment, containerization, and other supporting tools (such as Helm)
- Nice to have but not required:
- Integration product experience. Other integration vendors include MuleSoft, IBM, BEA, Oracle, TIBCO, etc.
- Mastery of Linux
