Position Summary:

  • Developing supply, maintenance, and transportation policy and/or procedures for the program of instruction.
  • Responsible for creating technical documents and manuals, explaining complex information in a clear and concise manner, and working with Logistical staff to ensure accuracy of the program of instruction (POI) descriptions.
  • Analyze documents to maintain continuity of style of content.
  • Manage updates and revisions to technical literature.
  • Reviewing installation logistic activities to enhance the program's effectiveness.
  • Maintain a comprehensive library of technical terminology and documentation.
  • Documenting operating controls to eliminate fraud and/or waste local operating conditions.
  • Documenting operations and/or systems improvements for the effectiveness of the mission.
  • Supervises, coordinates, and oversees the Maintenance work and operations of subject matter expert maintenance technicians providing support in accordance with the Program of Instruction (POI) approved by the United States Army Alaska (USARAK) Maintenance program.
  • Plans and schedules work and production to be accomplished by subordinates, sets and adjusts short-term priorities.
  • Assigns work in consideration of employee skills and mission requirements.

Subject Matter Experts (contractor personnel) must possess five years’ experience in the discipline to which they provide support.

  • The Army Maintenance Management System The Army Materiel Maintenance Policy
  • Supply Policy Below the National Level
  • Using Unit Supply Systems
  • Physical Security
  • Environmental Programs


Proficiency in the following Logistics Information Systems:

  • GCSS-ARMY
  • V-SAT
  • Microsoft Office

Knowledge in:

  • Army Award for Maintenance Excellence.
  • Army Oil Analysis Program
  • Army Warranty Program
  • Sample Data Collection Program
  • Army Modification Program
  • Army Maintenance Floats
  • Drivers USARAK G4 (POI)
  • Product quality deficiency and/or improvement reports
  • Administrative storage of documents and materiel
  • Army tire retread program
  • Tool improvement program
  • National Maintenance Program
  • Ground safety Notification System

Subject to random drug testing on an unannounced basis. Must possess a current state driver's license.
