The coordinator will facilitate an enriching out of school time experience for a minimum of two to a maximum of three hours a day, four or five days a week beginning October 2021 and ending May 2022 for children, families and community members within the school neighborhood. The Lead Coordinator will implement programs and resources in collaboration with community partners, the lead agency/coordinating partners aligned with school and community needs.

Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Responsible for working in partnership with the principal, building leadership team, lead agency and key stakeholders to support the successful implementation of out-of-school time activities. Identifying and seeking programs and services (a minimum of 2) to meet the mission and goals of the Cleveland Metropolitan School District (CMSD) & Say Yes Cleveland. Implementing programming aligned with youth development best practices that include but not limited to academic enrichment, health and wellness and art, music theater educational experiences.
• Planning, scheduling, and directing activities and operations of community partners and volunteer activities after the school day. This includes but is not limited to; transitions from end of school day to OST programs, end of OST programs to dismissal, acquire and disseminate snacks or any OST meals and provider program schedule coordination and room assignments.
• Assist in the supervision of afterschool activities assistant to ensure that program is appropriately staffed and services are implemented
• Partnering with Cleveland Metropolitan School District to implement family and other related programming that enhance student experiences going on simultaneously at the site.
• Promoting and advertising activities ensuring the services provided to students and families are well publicized with in the school and neighboring communities
• Documenting the participation of partners and volunteers to ensure compliance with CMSD requirements.
• Working with data managers ensuring appropriate data is collected while maintaining all requirements under FERPA and HIPAA.
• Implement continuous quality improvement process and strategies, using a data informed process.
• Conduct check-in meetings with the school leadership and community partners to review goals, progress of out-of-school time programming.
• Attending weekly meetings with the Say Yes Director of Programs and Partnerships and the CMSD Executive Director of Institutional Advancement to ensure seamless integration of the program.

Other Job Duties & Responsibilities

• May be responsible for other components, depending on the school, under the direction of the school principal and lead agency.
• Other duties as assigned

Job Qualifications

• Associates degree in education, social services, community development or a related field required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Three to five years’ experience in one or more of the following: education, social services, or community development preferred
• Familiarity with programs and providers in the City of Cleveland.
• Proven experience with data collection and using data for decision-making.
• Knowledge or building community partnerships, and youth and family development.
• Demonstrated experience in leadership, group facilitation, marketing, coordinating, communication, advocacy, and budgeting.

Supervisory
This position will supervise the Afterschool Program Assistant.
