We are a full service emergency department with 32 beds and an average daily volume of 70 patients/day. Our emergency department is ranked high in patient satisfaction and is usually in the top 5 facilities for Dignity Health for out key indicators of likely to return and likely to recommend. 80-90% of our patients see a physician in 30 minutes or less and our average length of stay for discharges is approximately 2 hours and 15 minutes. Our department works closely with ED registration and together we have become Dignity Health leaders in completing registrations for all our patients as well as revenue generation. The staff in the ED works closely together in a team environment to ensure high quality efficient care to all out patients. Safe Patient Handling Equipment located on each unit or available to each to unit to assist staff to safely and appropriately mobilize patients including repositioning in bed, ambulating, lateral transferring or transferring to chair/commode.

Responsibilities

Position Summary:

Under the direction of a Registered Nurse, The Certified Nursing Assistant for the ER provides basic nursing care. Care is provided in a manner that promotes safety, comfort and a healing environment. The CNA monitors and communicates accurate and complete observations regarding the patient's condition.

  • This position is represented by SEIU, Local 1107 and is covered by the terms and conditions of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.


Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 6 months clinical experience in an acute facility.
  • Graduate from a fully accredited CNA Program.
  • Required to be flexible in scheduling.
  • CT NA = Certified Nursing Assistant license from NV State Nursing Board.
  • CT CPRBLS - Basic Life Support - AHA

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1 (one) year clinical experience as a CNA.
