Maxim Healthcare Services is currently seeking an assortment of Certified Nursing Assistants to provide direct routine and urgent patient care services in support of Veterans Affairs at a main Medical Center or associated surrounding Clinic locations.
NOTICE: May be required to work with COVID 19 positive patients and Patients Under Investigation (PUI), for COVID 19

Positions: (to include, but not limited to)
- MedSurg CNA
- Long Term Care CNA
- Psychiatric/Mental Health CNA
- Primary Care/Specialty Clinic CNA
Schedule: (to include, but not limited to)
- Full time
- Facility and Clinics operating hours will vary (subject to Federally recognized holidays)
- Shifts will vary per unit based upon facility, unit and patient needs
o Days, Evenings, Nights, Rotating, Weekends and Holidays, etc.
o 8, 10 and/or 12 hour shifts may be available/requested
Requirements: (to include, but not limited to)
- Active/Unrestricted Nursing License in any state
- Recent acute/ambulatory care experience in a hospital setting
- Active American Heart Association BLS Provider CPR certification (no other CPR certifications will be accepted)
o Active American Heart Association ACLS Provider CPR certification (no other CPR certifications will be accepted) if/as required per specialty position
- Additional Health documentations may be requested:
o Immunization Records, Vaccination Records, etc.
- Successful completion of in-depth hiring and security clearance process
Responsibilities: (to include, but not limited to)
- Provide excellent and professional direct patient care as assigned
- Continuously monitoring and evaluating patients, showing ability to be adaptive, educated and skilled in critical thinking
- Coordinating with multiple specialists to ensure patients are adequately cared for
- Take detailed health care histories
- Documents activities according to facility policies and procedures
- Uses knowledge and practice in accordance with:
o Standards of patient care
o The Joint Commission, State, and local laws
o Patient's Bill of Rights
o Maxim's nursing and client facility policies and procedures
o Professional standards
- Maintains confidentiality of all patients, and hospital-related communications/documents
- Maintains clinical skills and expands knowledge base through participation in continuous education programs
- Adheres to standards and appropriate aseptic techniques
- Fosters a cooperative effort in meeting the goals of nursing and sharing the workload
- Communicates a positive and caring attitude toward the area, peers, staff, patients, and other contacts; demonstrates flexibility and adaptability in meeting the needs of client facilities, patients, and staff
- Seeks guidance, direction, and assistance when needed
- Recognizes and utilizes appropriate lines of communication
- Assumes responsibility for self-development
Competencies: (to include, but not limited to)
- Working knowledge of medical terminology and patient care
- Strong Organization and time management skills with the ability to multi-task
- Detail-oriented with superior follow through sills
- Ability to interact with all levels of personnel
- Excellent verbal & written communication skills
- Strong computer skills; proficient in Word, PowerPoint and Excel
- Strong data entry skills; must have speed and accuracy
