BayCare Clinic Orthopedics and Sports Medicine is looking for a Medical Assistant to join their team! Your primary role will be assisting in the planning and delivery of care to patients which includes pre-surgical preparation, post-surgical care, performance of patient treatment and documentation of all care provided.

Hours for this full-time position range from 7am to 5pm, dependent upon clinic needs. Travel for this position is required but is dependent on clinic needs; potential locations to include Marinette, Kaukauna, Manitowoc, Shawano, Sturgeon Bay, Pulaski and/or New Franken.

Description of Duties:

• Escort patients to rooms, collecting urine specimens, taking vital signs, and patient teaching as directed by a physician.
• Collects and documents patient information in a thorough and consistent manner.
• Provide assistance with triage of patients, execution of the plan of care as established by the provider, answering minor medical questions or concerns, and making telephone calls to patients.
• Assists with minor surgical procedures, performance patient treatments as ordered by the provider and collect vital sign information.
• Provides appropriate teaching materials, and assists in providing accurate answers to questions, all in support of patient and family.
• Assists in the performance of any physician ordered pre-operative treatment/tests as well as the pre-operative preparation of the patient.
• Assists in the post-operative execution of physician orders.
• Respects and maintains confidentiality.
• Works in a safe, compliant, and ethical manner at all times.

Qualifications/Certifications/Licensure Needed:

• MA: Medical Assistant program completion with valid MA certification desired but not required!
• 6 months – 1 year of related experience preferred.
• Orthopedics experience a plus!
• Must be computer literate.
• EPIC experience a plus!
