What to expect:

As a Machine Maintenance Technician at Master Machine you can expect to safely and efficiently keep operations running. Keep all facility equipment on schedule according to our PM schedule. We have 2 plants that you will be working between. On the job training will be provided for those who have the right attitude and are willing to learn.

Required Qualifications:

• Able to communicate, understand, follow standards, procedures and instructions.
• Good organizational and detail orientated skills
• Able to cooperate with all co-workers and supervisory staff.
• Able to work independently.
• Able to work overtime as needed.
• Mechanical ability
• Lead / Mentor another person or two working alongside you.
• Maintain, repair and service all equipment on site.
• Follow through on all equipment and facility repairs and PM
• Troubleshoot hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
• Replace mechanical components as required.
• Install, remove, or move equipment as directed.
• Electrical ability.
• Interpret electrical diagrams.
• Provide electrical service to equipment and lighting.
• Trouble-shoot and perform electrical repairs to equipment and lighting.
• 12-480V electrical troubleshooting and repair skills, including servos and electrical press controls.
• O.S.H.A. rules and regulations.
• Work closely with outside suppliers contracted to do major mechanical and electrical installations and repairs.
• Other duties as assigned.

Ideal Candidates will have experience:

• Personal tools needed to perform qualifications, responsibilities, and duties.
• 185 hours of general machine shop or equivalent combination of education/experience.
• Must have good command of the English language, both written and spoken.
• Must be able to create, read, and interpret drawings and design sketches.
• Ability to troubleshoot, install, maintain, and repair a broad range of electrical and electronic systems and equipment using schematics, AC/DC systems.
• Competent use of power tools; drill presses, lathes, and milling machines.
• Certified to use forklifts and scissor lifts.
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance with detailed record keeping.
• Knowledge and utilization of OSHA lockout / tag out requirements.
• Knowledge of PPE used as well as NFPA 70E and how they apply to company and employee safety.
• Strong and documentable attention to detail.

Additional Information:

Shift:Monday-Thursday 6:00AM-4:30PM, with OT as required on Friday’s.

Hours: 40

Compensation:DOE, Eligible for over time

Work Environment Details:

Lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted frequently; ability to work at a fast pace; keep workspace clean; visually inspect products; stand for 10 hours at a time with minimal breaks; English language proficiency; kneel, squat, and crawl on knees; work in positions with the ability to reach, squat, twist, and forward motion and rotation of the neck; use of hand tools; use of fine motor skills; work in a tight space; work in a group setting; work at multiple heights; work in an environment that is frequently changing temperatures; climb on ladder or step stool.
