Job description
- Set up and run CNC equipment to produce parts to print specifications
- Maintain tooling that is utilized at work center
- Load and unload parts into fixtures
- Receive work assignments, verbal and/or written instructions form supervision
- Receive parts or materials to be machined and obtain necessary tools and gages
- Work from blueprints, bills of materials, process documents, written procedures, and verbal instructions
- Check equipment for proper operation
- Set up and operate machine center using tools, programs and equipment needed, selects proper operating setting as directed
- Position tools and parts in machines, securing an aligning as required, using hoists and cranes as required
- Program a trial run for operation through control panel as directed
- Perform a variety of machining operations on an assortment of component parts. This includes face, bore, turn, ream, threat, drill, tap, grind, chamfer, spot-face and assemble
- Set up and operate radial or spindle drill using tools and equipment needed, selects proper speeds and feeds
- Check parts with measuring instruments as required
- Perform necessary material handling throughout the sequence of operations
- File burns and stem identification on parts as directed
- Prepare production card and turn into supervisor daily
- Lubricate machines as required, wipe and keep machines, tools, and workplace clean, and remove chips from machines
- Report defective material and equipment into supervision
- Maintain good housekeeping by keeping tools, materials, and equipment in proper places
- Observe all safety rules and watch for safety of others
- Adjust, operate, and monitor machine performance, meeting cycle time rates established, ensure conformance to specification, and maintain documentation logs
- Troubleshoot and determine the cause of operating errors and determine appropriate resolution

Pay: $29.94 per hour
