Full Job Description: The CNC Machinist/Programmer will operate a CNC Mill/Lathe, as well as create programs for the CNC machines.

This is a full-time day shift role:

• 8 hours a day with 1 hour of OT per day
• Monday to Thursday – 6:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
• Friday – 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
• Some Saturdays as needed

Requirements:

• Experience operating CNC equipment
• Experience operating HAAS and FEMCO Controllers
• 5-Axis or more machine: 1 year (Required)
• 3D CAD software (Solidworks, Fusion 360, OnShape): 1 year (Required)
• Familiarity with G & M codes; working knowledge of machine tooling and processing required
• Proficiency with CAM software for 5-axis toolpath creation
• Familiarity with creation/editing of project templates and macros
• Strong communication skills and ability to condense & simplify complex information for other team members and shop staff
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to maintain file structure on our server
• Skill required in using and interpreting precision measuring instruments
• Strong blueprint reading skills required
• Mastercam experience or Gibbs
• Standing for long times required, repetitive arm motions, frequent lifting of 25 lbs with occasional lifting up to 50 pounds
• Must be able to complete math problems quickly and accurately
• Ability to understand, schedule and execute on daily production plans and achieve stated output goals
• Demonstrable ability to discover and fix errors in code
• Track record of reliable, on-time attendance
• Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed
• High School diploma or equivalent

Duties & Responsibilities:

• CNC Mill Programming and Machining
• Design and develop 5-axis toolpaths for CNC machining
• Create prints from CAD models for Sales and manufacturing use
• Following in-house training, expected to logon and input required vital information into network system (JobBoss)
• Set up/Operator
• Set up, adjust, and operate the basic machine tools to perform precision machining operations
• Clean and maintain machines and tools, and keep an organized workspace
• Work closely with other machinists to discuss and solve problems relating to repairs and equipment
• Personal commitment to quality workmanship, with an ability to assess and explain quality concern to others
• Able to accurately and consistently follow detailed procedures in order
• An eye for detail to check drawings, part numbers, and materials, and to correctly complete routers and other paperwork
• Work collaboratively as part of a team, showing a professional attitude and a service-oriented mindset in a fast-paced environment
• Demonstrated track record of reliable, on-time attendance, able to work overtime and weekends as required

Preferred Experience / Skills

Preferred:

• Experience operating manual mills and lathes is a plus

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $24.00 - $29.00 per hour
(Bonus pay opportunities based on performance at the discretion of the CEO)
