Immediate Need for CNC Waterjet Operator

CNC Operator - with Waterjet cutting experience required

May also Operate other Material Cutter equipment such as a variety of types of saws or shears depending on the equipment at the branch. This may include the use of CNC panel saws, table saws, shears, adjustable circular saw, band saws or hand saws used to convert plastic rod, sheet or tube to the required size.

Temp-Perm Opportunity

First Shift M-Fri 8am-5pm, 40 hours per week

Pay Rate 23-26/hr based on experience

Must be open to pre-screenings

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

-Must have Waterjet cutting experience-be able to cut a wide variety of materials using an extremely high-pressure jet of water, or a mixture of water and an abrasive substance.

· Selects saw blade according to type of material and cut specified on work order

· Pulls stock and restocks from/to storage locations, removes cut stock from machine and maintains production count

· Uses programmable displays on CNC saws to set-up and cut materials.

· Establishes cutting parameters to achieve maximum quality.

· Maintains a safe working area and follows established safe work practices including LockOut/TagOut.

· Measures cut material with ruler, tape measure, caliper or square to verify dimensions against specifications.

· Uses computer or bar code scanner to enter records, track material and control inventory.

· Maintains Saw Blades scheduled sharpening/repair as required

· Performs preventative maintenance and other routine maintenance on equipment as needed or prescribed in work instructions.

· Performs duties of general warehouse worker as required.

**Forklift Operator Experience

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

One-year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Must be able to measure material using devices such as calipers and tape measures.

Job Types: Full-time, Temporary

Pay: $23.00 - $26.00 per hour
