Job description

This role will be responsible for managing the set- up and programming of complex lathe machining centers with multi spindles and turrets in an AS9100 machining facility. This role will be responsible for meeting allotted set up times to meet dynamic production and planning schedule.

· Properly set tools in machine locations required for set-up & perform part changeover including program retrieval and input

· Establish work offsets manually and utilizing probing technology

· Program complex mill turn aerospace components in Esprit CAM software

· Read, understand, and reset CNC machine program codes

· Calculate and input axis coordinates X, Y and Z or use spindle probe to determine work offsets

· Utilize geometric dimensioning and tolerancing results to adjust work offsets

· Operate, set up and program CNC machines within specified tolerances following work instructions and in accordance with machine programs and engineering drawings.

· Propose new production set ups and change offsets/tooling in machines as part of the new setup.

· Perform difficult CNC Machinist work including progressive machining of a variety of parts and different metals where very close tolerances must be maintained.

· Read and evaluate blueprints or specifications.

· Troubleshoot and solve CNC programs and processes.

· Improve and produce work instructions.

· Propose adjusted speeds and feeds for different machining requirements.

· Redesign fixtures to increase quality standards and productivity.

· Subject Matter Expert within field

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
