Summary of position: Be a brand ambassador and allow the mission, vision and service standards established by Neighbors Credit Union guide you in everything you do. Provide awesome service to internal and external members, act with integrity, provide trustworthy guidance, make it easy to do business with us, make others feel important, and take personal responsibility in everything you do.
Primary Function: Assists in maintaining an effective delinquency control and follow up program for all loan and VISA accounts that are late, delinquent, potentially delinquent, or charged off.
Primary Responsibilities –
- Minimize delinquency and loan loss for the Credit Union’s Loan Portfolio
- Accountable for reducing delinquency for assigned accounts
- Assist in handling member inquiries and loan discrepancy calls, letters and emails
- Make outbound calls and speak for long periods of time in a fast paced goal oriented environment
- Negotiate repayment plans
- Make suggestions and recommendations to offer workout solutions to delinquent members when the result is in the best interest of the Credit Union and Member
- Must keep member and credit union business strictly confidential.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
- Must be able to work independently in a high energy structured environment
- No Evenings or Weekends
Job Requirements:
Experience:
- Two years collection experience in a credit union or financial institution
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent, college degree or equivalent preferred
Knowledge:
- Knowledge of collection policies and procedures of Auto Loans, Unsecured Loans, Lines of Credit, Mortgage Loans and Credit Cards
- Knowledge of FDCPA, TCPA and other Consumer Finance Laws
- Knowledge of Repossession procedures for Missouri and Illinois a plus
- Knowledge of Deposit accounts and Overdraft Protection
Skills:
- Must be able to multitask and solve problems effectively in a high volume environment.
- Excellent documentations skills in updating accounts on multiple systems.
- Strong work ethic, tenacity and persistence.
- Excellent communication and listening skills
- Highly detail oriented
Salary Range:
- $20.14 - $24.17

- Monday through Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Physical Requirements:
