DIRECT REPORTS: N/A

JOB SUMMARY

The College Access & Success Manager will support Boys & Girls Clubs of the Valley (BGCAZ) scholarship recipients. Develop a case management program. Provide case management services to students by providing guidance and educational support to achieve goals successfully; as well as connect them with different resources to eliminate or minimize barriers. Carry a caseload of 60 to 80 students, maintain accurate records and notes for each student.

KEY ROLES (Essential Job Responsiblitles)

§ Recruits and pre-screens participants

§ Assists with enrollment and FASFA applications

§ Tracks and manages participants

§ Assists students with development of an educational,
financial, and career plan

§ Ensures that students are participating and completing their academic requirements

§ Assists with the reporting, collecting and maintaining statistics and data

§ Administer scholarship payments to universities and institutions

§ Develops and submits student progress reports to scholarship funder

§ Serve as a liaison between student and scholarship funder

§ Maintains partnerships with schools and employers

§ Provides additional scholarship opportunities and financial aid information to current and former members

§ Coordinates annual graduation celebrations and meet & greets with scholarship donors

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE, LICENSURE and CERTIFICATION

§ Must possess Bachelor Degree, preferable in relevant field

§ Must have and maintain a valid Arizona driver’s license

§ Must have fingerprint clearance card

KNOWLEDGE,
ABILITY and SKILLS

§ Ability to supervise a group of students

§ Ability to make presentations in school settings and/or community organizations

§ Knowledge of Youth Development service delivery

§ Ability to maintain and cultivate excellent member/family and community relationships and possess excellent customer service skills

§ Proficient skills in the use of Microsoft Office software, including Outlook, Word, and Excel

§ Familiarity with principles and practices of supervision

§ Ability to communicate with parents, maintain confidentiality and engage in respectful interactions at all times

WORKING CONDITIONS and DRIVING

§ Travel between BGCAZsites, schools, and various field trip sites as well as in the community is required. Must meet the insurance standards of Boys & Girls Club of Metro Phoenix

§ Work is primarily performed in the Club and local community

§ Evening hours required; weekend hours and some holidays as needed
