Description:

We are looking for a college director for Texas A&M and Blinn College. This area currently has a senior area director, two full-time staff associates and one mission staff who will work alongside the new college director. There will also be a few volunteer college leaders to help reach out to college students.

The area has a good college program with a new volunteer training program each year. The college director will put on college events with the help of other volunteers and staff. There is much area for growth with college students and leaders. The community is supportive of Young Life and is a great resource for help. The area has been around for more than 45 years. It is in an excellent financial position and has a huge potential for continued growth.

Responsibilities:

• Introducing college students to Jesus Christ and helping them grow in their faith.
• Demonstrate spiritual leadership on a personal and corporate level.
• Develop a community of volunteer leaders to work with adolescents.
• Assist the area in training, discipleship, and development of volunteer leaders and staff.
• Oversee events, clubs and small groups.
• Participate in dynamic direct ministry with college students.

Qualifications:

• Prior Young Life experience preferred.
• Four or more years of ministry with Young Life preferred, along with some college experience.
• Completion of RTD training or equivalent (seminary degree).
• Experience with shepherding volunteer leaders.
• Spiritual maturity and a growing faith.
• Successful track record in working with college students and sharing the Gospel.
• Strong leadership skills and experience in developing people.
• Strong initiative and vision.
• Experience in raising money and managing a budget.
• Ability to cultivate relationships with adults in the community.
• Must have a college degree.
