Job description
Assist the officers in preparing loan packets, which includes but not limited to, title work, Good Faith Estimates, flood work, resolutions, Certificates of good standing, credit bureaus, trust agreements, tax identification numbers, and insurance.Provide prompt, courteous and excellent service to internal and external customers at all times. This includes an obligation to actively cooperate and interact with other departments and facilities to advance the overall interests of the bank.
This position requires effective communication between all lending personnel, borrowers, regulators, auditors, outside agencies (other Financial institutions, Title Companies, Insurance Agencies), Compliance Officer and Accounting Department to assure adequate and proper procedures, payment application, system coding and compliance.
Coordinate closings with loan processors, schedule and close loans, as necessary.
Compose and type correspondence.
Assist in the preparation of the Loan Presentation form for document preparation and maintain all pending real estate files for all officers as needed.
Appraisal/evaluation scheduler for the CL/IL Department.
Accountable for preparing modifications/extensions in accordance with the officer's direction and insuring adherence to all regulations and procedures pertaining to such modifications and /or modifications/extensions. Monitor and File received modifications/extensions in applicable file.
Accountable for file review pertaining to manual system adjustments and coordinating with the Loan Officers for direction and then to submit to Consolidated Loan Operations for processing
Ensure compliance for Community Reinvestment Act (CRA), Home Mortgage Disclosure Act (HMDA)
Responsible for assuring that proper and accurate documentation is the Loan files by working the Tickler Reports. Work with the lending officers to eliminate exceptions and recognize potential problems with loans.
Prepare new loans as needed to cover for vacation or sick leave of the Loan Processors and/or as deemed by a lending officer.
Maintain educational and professional expertise through attendance at job related seminars, conferences and workshops.
Work closely with the Commercial lending officers and perform additional assignments from them.
Ensure prompt and courteous response to customer inquiries whether by telephone or in person.
Contribute to the effort of the Bank by performing other duties as assigned.

This position starts at $17.98 per hour and can increase from there depending on experience.
Requirements:
Three years' bank experience, with consumer, mortgage or commercial loan processing/servicing experience, preferred
Exceptional customer service relations and skills
Knowledge of the departments in the Bank
Exceptional organizational and time management skills, and ability to prioritize daily work.
Flexibility and ability to adjust to various work styles and needs of lending officers
Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a high stress and fast paced environment in order to meet deadlines. Ability to switch quickly to and from different tasks.
Analytical (statistical) and problem solving ability.
Ability to focus within a busy work environment
Knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to the completion of an Associates degree in a business related field, which includes specific courses in business, finance, accounting, real estate, or budgeting, forecasting.
Excellent communication skills as evidenced by the ability to interact face-to-face, over the telephone or in writing with customers and co-workers. Demonstrated ability to use discretion, tact, and diplomacy.
Professional personal appearance and attitude when dealing with customers and co-workers
Strong math skills
Good typing/word processing and written communication skills. Working knowledge of various word processing and spreadsheet software. Good proof reading and editing skills.
Good knowledge of computer system utilized to process transactions.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Demonstrated self-starter capabilities and initiative. Ability to understand what needs to be accomplished.
Willingness to help with any special projects assigned, as well as fulfilling routine departmental responsibilities.
Familiarity with bank and departmental policies.
