Our client, a world renowned Pharmaceutical and Consumer Products company, is currently hiring for a Contract Manufacturing Commercialization Manager, to be located in Skillman NJ, or remotely.
- The External Manufacturing Commercialization Manager is responsible for the coordination of new product launch activity at external manufacturing locations.
- In a Project Management capacity, the External Manufacturing Commercialization Manager will lead a cross-functional team through operational aspects of project planning, scale-up, and validation.
- The External Manufacturing Commercialization Manager will develop or contribute in development of a project timeline, and host recurring meetings to track progress in achieving project milestones.
- This role requires coordination with several functions including the contract manufacturing site, engineering, technical transfer/product development, supply chain, purchasing, strategic sourcing, quality assurance, marketing, project management, regulatory, and others.
- A successful candidate will be able to work across multiple functions, identifying risks and challenges, and clearly communicate those risks back to management and key stakeholders.
- The typical product launch may include a bid/quote process, equipment purchase at the contract manufacturing site, project planning, pilot batches, trial batches, packaging line trials, specification and artwork/graphic development, stability testing, validation protocols, and ultimately production.
- The ideal candidate will be well-versed in most or all aspects of the new launch process. The regulatory classification of product includes cosmetics, and OTC’s.
- Nutraceutical Products
- The key metrics include on-time launch, consistently high unit fill rate for 6 months subsequent to launch, achieving cost targets / minimum Gross Profit hurdles, and adherence to cGMP’s.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree is required.
- A minimum 6 years of related experience in one or more of the following areas: Contract Manufacturing, Supply Chain/Operations, Manufacturing, Procurement, Supply Chain Sourcing, Project Management, Technical Transfer, Product Development, R&D, and/or Supply Planning is required
- Internet and MS Office Suite proficiency is required.
- Strong analytical skills are a requirement.
- An entrepreneurial self-starter with strong oral and written communication skills, comfortable communicating across functional levels is required.
- Experience working in Manufacturing Operations, specifically in a GMP environment-supervising people in a plant would be preferred.
- Prior knowledge of advanced planning systems such as ERP, MRP, and SAP is preferred.
- Prior experience in project management or product development is preferred.
- Experience with Six Sigma/Process Excellence tools, training and/or certification is preferred.
- Nutraceutical, supplements, vitamin experience required.
