  • Experience: 3-5 years as a copy writer for corporate or internal communications.
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Communications, English, Marketing, Journalism, or Public Relations.
  • Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: The candidate will be highly skilled at internal and external communications and with experience with Microsoft Word. Experience with Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Canva, and website content management system tools are a plus. Skilled in written content creation, editing, research and integrated marketing as a discipline. You will oversee and manage regular monthly communications and coordinate with the Marketing team and System Directors to meet deadlines. This person also will be able to translate complex clinical and technical content into everyday language with clear differentiation on how value propositions will retain the hospital’s quality and brand standards. The candidate will possess excellent written and oral communications skills, the ability to adapt to multiple and changing priorities, and will possess effective interpersonal skills. Knowledge of brand management and voice, as well as the ability to manage social media outlets is helpful. Bilingual and/or biliterate (English / Spanish) preferred, but not required.

The Communications and Marketing Coordinator writes content for internal and external audiences and implements portions of complex strategic integrated communications plans, coordinating with the Director and managers on a variety of projects. Familiar with AP Stylebook for public relations, and Chicago Manual of Style for communications that go to patients as it is less formal. Responsibilities include editing, copy writing, public relations, media relations, internal communications, digital and social media strategies, advertising copy writing, as well as creating awareness and a positive brand experience. Successful candidate edits, writes, and proofreads content for internal and external communications as well as social media posts for a variety of audiences. Adept at optimizing digital and other communications and marketing tools. Uses his/her skills to prepare content for materials including but not limited to talking points for presentations and meetings, brochures, fliers, data, slides, proposals, presentations, reports, and internal and external newsletters. Successful hire will schedule and coordinate meetings with directors and managers to obtain information to prepare requested materials. Prepare marketing plans as requested and status reports on marketing efforts. Assists in planning, executing and managing all phases of marketing activities for external and internal audiences providing support for the Director of Community Relations and Marketing and for the Astria Health hospitals and other associated entities.


WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Work is primarily performed in an office setting and is considered sedentary work. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Walking and standing are required only occasionally. Requires exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Requires normal/corrected vision and hearing to normal range. Requires good manual and finger dexterity to operate computers, phones, and handle documents. The worker is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions.
