Summary of Position
On the job and formal training to develop the skills as a compact equipment gas mechanic and/or diesel mechanic in troubleshooting, diagnosis and repair of electrical, hydrostatic, hydraulic and powertrain systems on compact equipment and attachments in a safe and timely manner. Maintain technical and product knowledge of equipment sold within dealerships area of responsibility. Participate in all appropriate training. This could be an entry level position. The diesel technician would have minimal tools, basic knowledge of equipment.
Educations, Skills, and/or Experience Requirements
Successful candidates will have a two-year technical degree in Diesel or Gas engine Technician and/or at least one year or more of mechanical experience. We are looking for team members that have a understanding of mechanical and diagnostic skills, basic computer skills, and excellent communication skills. Welding/fabrication, and equipment experience would be a plus. Applicants would be required to own their own tools. Opportunity to earn tool credits. Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
