Our Compensation team is looking for a talented, motivated, and high-performing Compensation Analyst to join our team. The Compensation Analyst will evaluate jobs, determining classification, exempt or non-exempt status, and salary. For an analytical person who wants to grow their compensation knowledge by performing exciting and varied compensation work, this is your opportunity. You will evaluate and ensure BSA pay is competitive in the markets we serve by participating in salary surveys, conducting market pricing and pay adjustments, guiding department leaders and employees on compensation matters, and making recommendations to support pay decisions.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and maintain job descriptions and develop salary recommendations.
  • Analyze and model merit and other salary increases.
  • Assess jobs and determine FLSA classification as exempt or non-exempt.
  • Benchmark jobs against survey and other market data to determine competitive compensation ranges for each position.
  • Prepare and present summary reports of job analysis and compensation analysis information.
  • Helps ensure compliance with compensation policies and compensation-related state and federal regulations.
  • Participate in and occasionally lead special projects for compensation programs.
Education

Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university.

Qualifications
  • 5 years+ of progressive experience in compensation administration performing a variety of compensation tasks such as job evaluation, benchmarking, job leveling, annual merit and bonus administration, market pay analysis, internal impact analysis, cost projections, data audit and analysis, and compensation project management.
  • Experience managing data and administering reports in an HRIS system such as PeopleSoft, Oracle, Lawson, Workday, etc.).
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of job evaluation methods (e.g., Hay method, Point Factor, Comparative, Grading).
  • Ability to work independently with great attention to detail.
  • Ability to execute intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze data and formulate sound recommendations.
  • Ability to develop documents using technical and business writing skills (e.g., job descriptions, job findings reports, etc.).
  • Ability to communicate clearly in written and verbal formats.
