POSITION SUMMARY

The Compensation Analyst is responsible for the development and administration of market-competitive compensation programs. This includes analyzing, evaluating, and classifying new and existing jobs, utilizing external and internal market data to make appropriate recommendations and evaluating compliance with current regulations. The Analyst will collaborate with senior leadership to identify and develop improvements to enhance existing practices that promote Lozier’s ability to attract, retain and motivate employees. The ideal candidate will enjoy working in a high-deliverable, time-sensitive, fast-paced environment. Exercises initiative and judgment on a regular basis.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Carry out analytical assignments involving the development, implementation and administration of Lozier’s compensation programs.
  • Support benchmarking process by participating and analyzing industry survey data and working with compensation consultants to determine competitiveness of Lozier’s compensation programs.
  • Oversees the maintenance of job descriptions, ensuring appropriate review, approval and updates that accurately reflect the work being performed
  • Responsible for the analysis, evaluation, and classification of new and existing positions, utilizing data to help make appropriate recommendations.
  • Review proposed salary adjustments for conformance to established guidelines, policies and practices.
  • Act as a key contributor to the annual merit award process. Collaborate with HRIS team for system administration, data integrity and auditing of reporting.
  • Act as a key contributor to the assessment and upgrades of compensation applications and systems. Collaborate with HRIS for administration, testing, implementations and upgrades of systems.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Compensation and Compliance, Training Team and Marketing to assist in the design, development and maintenance of compensation related training and education materials.
  • Provide analysis, as needed, for variable compensation programs that may include executive compensation, annual and Sales-related compensation.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Compensation in reviewing existing and proposed statutory requirements governing compensation administration and recommend appropriate courses of action
  • Provides back up support of analytics for HRIS related projects.
  • Assists with cost analyses to be used in employee negotiations and collective bargaining agreements.
  • Provides support with HRIS system maintenance responsibilities.
  • Demonstrate regular attendance and timeliness in reporting to work, meetings, and completing assignments.
  • Ability to work and interact well with others.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in a related field (HR, Business, Finance, Statistics or other technical/analytical position).

Experience: Minimum of 5 years of directly related experience in compensation programs development and implementation if degreed; Minimum of 8 years without a related degree

Required Skills:

  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to exercise sound and timely judgement
  • Advanced ability to research, compile and synthesize information, make recommendations
  • Maintain the highest level of confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Excellent listening, written and oral communication skills
  • Self-starter with excellent organizational skills and ability to pay close attention to detail

  • Ability to juggle multiple tasks while still delivering high quality results
