Compensation Consultant
Major Responsibility
Under general supervision, this position is responsible for performing compensation work projects to deliver quality deliverables to our clients. Accountable for selecting study methodologies and determining appropriate protocols to follow in accomplishing client engagements. May supervise subordinate staff in carrying out consulting projects. Keeps client informed on the project status.

Basic Duties

Collaborates with assigned project manager to establish how best to accomplish the client assignment.

  • Interacts regularly with the client to understand the study objectives and to obtain the necessary background materials.
  • Determines the staff resources, survey/research resources and protocol needed to perform the client project.
  • Participates in client planning/status meetings and contributes ideas to the meeting/ project discussion.
  • Assists in the preparation of proposals, client deliverables and written reports and helps to maintain and update survey resources and other reference materials.
  • Keeps up to date on the latest innovations, trends, new thought and tools within various consulting specialties to provide value-added client services.
  • Participate in business development activities and client relationship management.

Working Relationships

Assists senior consultants with project management and execution and establishes, as well as maintains effective relationships with client staff. Serves as a liaison with support staff, vendors and contract staff.

Work Requirements

Requires specialized knowledge of compensation approaches, principles and practices. Position requires strong analytical skills and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Position incumbents typically require a minimum of 5-7 years of prior related consulting experience. They also require effective listening, verbal and written communications skills and abilities. Must be able to work independently and handle multiple tasks at a time.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $100,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
