Computer Software/Systems Engineer
NAS Patuxent River, MD

This is a key position within an on-going proposal. Excellent opportunity to be considered for a potential new multi-year contract in the southern Maryland area.

Work will support the Logistics IT life cycle support for a logistics IT group and respective customers at NAS Patuxent River, MD.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and maintain an organization's local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), data communications network, operating systems, and physical and virtual servers. Perform system monitoring and verify the integrity and availability of hardware, network, and server resources and systems. Review system and application logs and verify completion of scheduled jobs, including system backups. Analyze network and server resource consumption and control user access. Install and upgrade software and maintain software licenses. May assist in network modeling, analysis, planning, and coordination between network and data communications hardware and software.

Certifications and Additional Experience:

• CompTIA Security+ CE certification
• Operating system training certificate of completion or certification relevant to the primary operating system the position is supporting

Education/Experience:

• SENIOR: A Senior level person within a labor category has more than ten (10) years of experience performing work related to the labor category functional description and a BA/BS.

Security Clearance:

• ACTIVE DOD SECRET CLEARANCE MANDATORY
• US CITIZEN
