We are excited to be part of another significant public-private partnership as part of Plenary Infrastructure Philadelphia (PIP). PIP was selected by Amtrak in July 2020 to redevelop Philadelphia's historic William H. Gray III 30th Street Station. Vantage will be responsible for the development and management of the station concessions program. Together with our partners in PIP, we will restore and highlight the historic character of the majestic station, while heightening the level of customer experience. Our plan will introduce new amenities, reinvigorate the station’s retail and commercial potential, improve and expand existing office space and enhance transit and pedestrian traffic flows.

We are looking for a self-motivated and results-driven Concessions Manager to support the management of the station concessions program, including the project's day-to-day business activities and the forthcoming redevelopment of the concessions program. THE ROLE

Reporting to the General Manager and working closely with the entire commercial team, the Concessions Manager provides operational support to the concessions program at William H. Gray III 30th Street Station.

This position is based in Philadelphia, PA. The successful candidate will be comfortable working independently and proactively to provide project management as required.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Establish and maintain excellent relationships with key partners, their local teams, corporate staff and senior executives.
  • Establish, manage and maintain excellent relationships with external representatives and stakeholders including Amtrak (the client), vendors, concessions partners, adjacent businesses, local regulatory agencies/departments, and local community groups.

Activities

  • Maintain strong working relationship with all concessions partners
  • Provide input to the bi-annual Concessions Management Plan and yearly budget as it relates to the concessions operations
  • In partnership with the General Manager and Finance Department, develop common area maintenance budgets and ensure subtenants are correctly billed
  • Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures for all concessions partners and staff
  • Observe and evaluate concessions partner operations to ensure compliance with Lease requirements and Standard Operating Procedures and work constructively with concessions partners to resolve issues as they arise
  • Assist in the preparation, procurement and/or administration of contracts needed to promote efficient operations of the concessions business
  • Develop and manage a customer experience program that may include mystery shops, passenger engagement surveys, employee incentives and employee training to insure the highest level of customer service to passengers.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual operations reports, as needed, to partners, the client and executives
  • Review and understand concessions operator sales and key performance indicators to ensure revenue generation is maximized and any issues are reported quickly
  • Act as the liaison between key stakeholders for the safe and efficient operation of the program
  • Ensure regular reporting and coordination with the General Manager

ABOUT YOU

You have at least three years experience in a food & beverage, retail operations or multi-unit management environment, with a demonstrated ability to lead the management and operation of food & beverage or retail operations. Ideally, you have previous experience in the development and implementation of concessions programs or management of multi-unit operations. Strong project management experience is a requirement. Your professional experience is supplemented by a relevant degree from an accredited university. You are a collaborative team player who also enjoys working independently and are comfortable working with a diverse set of stakeholders.
